Family Volunteer Day– November 17th, 2007
Family Volunteer Day was a great success, more than 80 individuals volunteered their time and energy for local nonprofit agencies. This annual day of service, held on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, is designed to demonstrate the power of families who choose to volunteer together to support the communities in which they live and serve. We challenge you to participate in the 2008 event by volunteering as a family to help local nonprofit agencies. To see pictures from the 2007 event please click here.
Special thanks to all participating Family Volunteer Day 2007 agencies. We appreciate you taking the time post projects and look forward to working with you in the future for upcoming events. We are currently in the planning stages for the 2008 Family Day on November 22nd, 2008. .
National Family Volunteer Day is a chance to instill the values of kindness, friendliness, empathy, respect, tolerance, and teamwork in the next generation, and to renew these in our own lives.
