Cereal Festival

Volunteer Center of Battle Creek

This year’s festival theme is “Promoting a Healthy Community”.  It was selected to emphasize the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and a healthy community.  Interactive activities, demonstrations and information centers focused on health and wellness will be dispersed throughout the festival.

The World’s Longest Breakfast Table began in 1956 as part of Kellogg Company’s Golden Jubilee in downtown Battle Creek.  Since its inception, the Battle Creek Cereal Festival has become an annual Battle Creek tradition.  Kellogg Company, the Post Division of Kraft Foods and Ralston Foods - with the help of local and national sponsors - make it possible to serve tens of thousands of people each year.

The Volunteer Center and the Arts & Industry Council would like to invite you to volunteer for the 2008 Cereal Festival. We encourage families, organizations, businesses, faith based organizations, and individuals of all ages to get involved.
